On the fourth of July we woke up, and went to breakfast with friends at Mimi's. It was really early for Tim to wake-up. He has some things to learn before September comes. We only had to be there at nine, but for a holiday it really was a bit rough for him. After that it is tradition in our family to have caramel popcorn on the fourth of July. The reason being when we were dating Tim was asking what kinds of traditions we have in my family. It was around the fourth of July, and the one that stood out in my mind was when we were kids my mom decorated a pringles can on the outside with paper and stickers to look like a fire cracker. Then the top of the pringles can she some how attached a pipe cleaner to look like the fuse. After the product was finished she would fill it with caramel popcorn...a delicious treat to enjoy while you watch the fire works. Last year I made them for my nephews, and the year before that we just made caramel popcorn. So, this year once again I made caramel popcorn it's TRADITION now. We watched the fireworks from all over Sacramento from Tim's families deck. They live on the river, and we could see a variety of firework shows. The picture of Jerry and Lilly was on the fifth...she had been so tired and wouldn't go down for a nap. Finally Jerry was bouncing her and she fell fast asleep. Oh and I must not forget the picture of Lilly, and the miniature donkeys. Tim was like a little kid he was so excited to show her these from the moment we arrived.
