Happy Halloween

At the Tent or Treat

I love Halloween, and this year we really did things right. I think there were four parties. One adults only, then Tim's family party, the ward tent or treat, and our first ever Halloween Party. Costumes were encouraged, but not required. Our whole family dressed up ... so fun. I have to thank my sister for our SWEET costumes. We had delicious food, good friends, and LOTS of FUN. At the tent or treat it got dark so fast... we were a bit unprepared. We should've had a lantern or glow light. She refused to say trick-or-treat. She was actually a little clingy. We got a few comments like what kind of candy does mom and dad like. She was a champion wearing her costume ... she really liked it. On Halloween she was grunting trying to demand the candy bowl, or the napkins with the pumpkin on them. She was thrilled when Katie whipped out the princess wand glow stick. Probably the funniest thing was she would take the star off the top, and then grunt UH UH and want help putting it on. As soon as it was on she would take it off, and then demand it be put back on. I wish I had a picture of her with it. She loved that thing. We had TWO people sing a duet of thriller karaoke no one else dared go after that rendition. After that the kids played, and played we had a few rounds of the game mafia. I found out some of our friends are really good liars. I am not usually so good at the lying in games, but it was fun. Tim cracked me up when he got out right away because he got the giggles, and I was sure he was lying.

These are the moments

I feel so lucky to be able to be at home with my sweet little Adeline. Some days are better than others, but I don't want to forget this. Yesterday towards the end of our day I had a little miss who was restless and ready to see her dad. I snapped a few pictures (see above). Then I pulled out this book, and lately her favorite thing to do is plop down in my lap. Of course then we read together. I had a bunch ready to read, but she just fell in love with this one Brown Bear, Brown Bear what do you see. She is usually facing out, but in this moment she was facing me. I thoroughly enjoyed watching my little ones face light up as we read this book together. She was so happy, and excited about it. She was bouncing up and down. After I had finished she would want the book to look at herself for a brief minute... then she would hand the book back to me, and I would ask do you want mom to read the book again. She of course did and we read it again and again in that same routine.

Second Annual Harvest Party

Tim's mom threw a fabulous Harvest party. There was all kinds of delicious food, and tasty treats. There was a pumpkin carving contest ... Tim earned us the sympathy prize. Which we gladly accept it was this cute little bat soap container. All of the kids did a costume parade. We had such a fun time. There were also goodie bags for the kids that were so cute. Adeline loves her little Frankenstein bucket, the squishy ball, the animals and the book were all huge hits. I love this time of year, and it's so fun to go to parties. On this occasion Ad was not behaving her best she refused to eat. She kept wanting to race up the stairs, and hop down them nearly giving Tim a heart attack. However, it was still fun even if Adeline behaved like a crazy lady.

Pumpkin Patch

We had a fun day at Parker's preschool field trip. We went on a tractor ride. Fed some goats, and looked at some other animals. Then we went through a spooky house. Last we got to pick out a pumpkin. Addie liked this part. She would grab the pumpkins (she broke one stem) and pick them up and throw them. She thought that was really cool.

Bishops Ranch Pumpkin Patch

Tim and I took three kids under two to the pumpkin patch. It was an adventure.
The first thing we did was head to the petting zoo. Adeline loved it instantly. Lily was a little unsure at first, but at the end she refused to go. I had to lift her over the fence to Tim. Adeline found the grossest little goat house, and wanted to hang out in there. Lily eventually followed her in, and she wanted to stay in there it smelled so bad. Adeline is just so curious she wanders off to explore she nearly got into the goats water. She's a little mischievous.

The next stop was these super fun tires they climbed all over them got very dirty. Adeline even ate a little dirt.

This next place was like a trampoline. Adeline hopped right out to the center of the thing. A little girl had gathered a big pile of hay there and Addie sat right in the center of it. She wanted to make sure she was in the middle of all the action.

See the two person stroller... they were hilarious. Ryan was so great slept almost the whole time. As soon as we drove away the girls were asleep funny thing he finally woke up. When we were ten minutes from Adeline woke up talking so loud woke Lily up. They only had like an hour nap, but they were happy and ready to play again. How do little ones have so much energy.

Don't FALL Asleep at the Park

Today we went to the park, but once we arrived Adeline was fast asleep. I spread out a blanket and she slept for about 30 min. Which was unusual because she doesn't usually sleep anywhere but in her bed. The kids had fun playing around on the toys. Then we went over to the soccer field, and the two brothers competition began. They are both great soccer players. Addie, and Carson did their own thing. I think she loved the open space to run free. A few of my favorite things about the day: Carson and him seeing the cookies before he'd finished his lunch. I love how he says cookie, and the look of desire on his face is so funny. Keri telling Tanner he was getting his shoes all dirty in the sand.  Watching Tanner throw the ball back to Parker after he'd blocked it. Seeing Parker time after time get frustrated because Tanner would throw the ball so far. Tanner's face was hilarious when he'd do this. Watching Addie wake up to see her cousins she was so excited.

My Girl

Going for a ride with her friend Ethan
Beautiful Bracelet! Oh WOW is what she always says.
Wee

My Girl is SO SILLY! She is hilarious... she likes to get inside of EVERYTHING. As you can see from the photos. Let me name a few more. She has a little car thing the seat is a trunk; she lifts it up and puts one foot inside the trunk and then tries to ride it. She also has a little fish bowl she likes to put her foot inside, and tries to sit down. She obviously can't fit inside that one, but she seems a bit frustrated that she isn't able to sit down. I just wonder what she is thinking.
Oh the orange she loved this... she kept saying oh wow, and putting it on her wrist like a bracelet too funny.
