Adeline is at such a fun stage right now. She is loving to play peek-a-boo she will giggle when her dad does it. She also likes patty cake. She coos and talks a lot still. She can sit up by herself now. She can scoot backwards, and go in circles. She eats rice cereal, and usually likes it a lot. I love the scooting because I'll put her down somewhere, and then look for her she's some where totally different usually stuck under our couch or on something else that go in her way. She loves going on walks, and playing with her toys. She is pulling hair, and eye glasses. She loves to put my hair in her mouth. She also is very interested in faces eyes, nose and mouth mainly. She will stare at your face for a while inspecting it.
She takes cat naps. Which are confusing because sometimes she seems fully rested and other times she wakes up irritable. So, there are the challenges of this age we are working to teach her to soothe herself to sleep. We've made some progress ... I think I am just learning what works for us and what doesn't. I read so much information about a topic I get confused. So I've read Baby Wise, Healthy Sleep Happy Baby, What to expect the first year (healthy sleep), and researched the Ferber method. She was nursing three times a night... now we are down to one or two if you count the ten o'clock feeding. I've also read a lot about giving the first foods a lot of the information contradicts each other. Some says feed the rice cereal after you nurse. I've read the complete opposite is better. I am sure after the first child I will have figured out what works a bit better, but I now each child is different. Every day is a new adventure. Even though sleep has been a bit of a challenge I love when she is done sleeping. I love getting her out of her bed holding her talking to her, and enjoying her sweet smiles that bring so much joy.
