Day at the Pool

This sure beats the North Ogden Pool and Lorrin Far

She kept attacking this towel... it wasn't ours. She really liked it.

Today we went to the Folsom Aquatic Center with the extended family. Adeline was so brave. The pool has a beach entry. She just kept wanting to go further and further in. I am amazed at how small she is, and how curious and excited she is about new things. Best parts Parker going down the slide, and me trying to coax him to do it. Tanner kept coming and asking to give Addie a hug. Poor Jacob fell... walked back over to me to tell me all about it "I fell" and then he gave me a hug. My favorite is how obsessed Adeline was with the towel. I had a towel, but she just kept walking down to this one. Oh and she loved to keep crawling over to the drain (which was so gross). She was inspecting it, and everything in it. Fun Swim Day.

Who knew... We were at my sisters and Adeline heads for the stairs. Keri says can she go up I say oh no way we don't even have any stairs. Then she proceeds to go up all the stairs. Hmm she knows how to do tricks I don't even know about.

We love the fountains... it is a fun water park at the outdoor mall. She loved crawling around inside the water. She got squirted in the face once, and then I held her hand as we walked around. Even after she got squirted in the face she still wanted to go back in and touch the ground where the water comes out. She was very curious about it. I think she's really brave the water was really powerful, and she wanted to be right in it. I left for a bit, and she did great for a while, but then got super sad. She just wanted her mom nothing was making her happy. My sister got a taste of what having four kids is like two that were crying for part of the time while I was gone. So any advice for the separation anxiety? She recovered, and then she played some more and loved watching the water show. She wanted to jump right in it. Fun times!  

A walk in the Park

She's loving to stand up next to anything... especially at the park. She likes the ladders, and the pretend rock walls. She will pull herself up, and watch everything and everyone. She still loves that bark. She snuck one in, and then clenched her mouth closed so I had the hardest time getting it out. I don't know if all kids like to eat the bark or just mine yucky.

Swimming

 

We had a family swimming event. Adeline loved it. I took her once before and was just going to dip her feet in. I didn't even go to the pool prepared to get in. Once I dipped her feet she couldn't get enough. She was really brave, and just would kick her little feet. I was with my friend Kate, and she was nice enough to take Addie in. She had a super time. Tim had been excited to see her swimming for himself. She was hilarious. She would try to drink up the water where it seeps through the floaty. She loved swimming she kicked her feet and had a great time.

8 Months Old

This month she's learned how to officially crawl on all four. She is also pulling her self up on everything, and learning not everything supports her weight. So lots of head bumps. She loves to read stories she'll sit in my lap for a good 15 minutes and listen, and look. However, she does have her favs. It makes me laugh when she grabs a book rolls onto her back, and turns the pages looking so intently at the book... she'll talk while she does it too. The funniest is when she rolls over and puts her legs in the air for a long period of time. It looks like she thinks she relaxing. She can also cruise around holding onto the furniture. She has liked to sneak into any crevice of the house we may not want her into. She also discovered the little door stop things, and loves to flick them. She thinks it's really funny.

Her bath time is one of the highlights of her day. She kicks her feet and pretty much squeals, and I seriously can't get her in quick enough. She swims around the tub like a little fish. She kicks her legs when she's on her belly, and her bum is shaking it's too funny. I don't know how she does it. She wanders into the bathroom throughout the day, and pulls her self up to the tub, and then looks at me like mom let me in. If I don't put all of her toys in the tub she knows, and wants to get them out of the bag. She loves it when I blow dry my hair. I sit on the floor, and she has to be right next to me. She likes to touch it, and the cord. Her other favorite thing is to pull herself up using the toilet to help, and then pull stuff out of the trash. She dangerous, and funny. If we tell her to bounce she'll do it usually. She'll still say ma ma da da, and waved bye bye. She eats finger foods, peas, squash, sweet potatoes and rice are her favorite. 

Sleeping in the Highchair

Too funny... she was eating one second the next out. This has never happened before. I thought it was hilarious. She was chewing up some finger foods, and then I look over to put more on her plate and she's out. I gently wiped her off, and put her to bed. Has this ever happened to anyone?
