Christmas

Addie... while we're getting our family photo taken (complete meltdown)

We had to wake Addie up at 8:30. She was so funny she was most interested in her stocking (i thought we'd do that last, but she not only was interested in hers but everyones). We finally go her interested in the gifts. She was super excited once we got started.

Christmas Eve

We went to my in-laws for Christmas Eve. My mom and her husband were able to come too. Carol made everything very special. I only ended up with three photos.

Christmas Traditions

The Nativity- My favorite part was once Mary and Joseph were dressed Joseph (Carson) says to Mary (Addie). Lets go kill some people. Classic! Addie went right along with it. The kids were so cute thanks Beth for inviting us!

We also love decorating the tree and making a gingerbread house. Don't forget the new elf Alfie- (funny thing now that Christmas is over she's still blaming everything on the elf) he reports behavior to santa, and comes back hiding a new place each day.

Christmas @ PreSchool

At Addie's school they did a Christmas program. They sang four songs, and did some crafts, had treats. She was so interested in Santa. However, she did not want to sit on his lap ... standing next to him was good enough (no tears were shed this year)! My favorite part was seeing how excited the kids were. Now she loves to watch herself sing on the videos. The other funny thing was before the party we were listening to Christmas music rudolph came on and she was in the living room dancing and singing (she had some nice moves I said where did you learn that she said miss sue). She had her hands on her hips going back from side to side while singing.

Dear Joshua,

We are so happy you are here with our family. I always want to remember some silly things about being pregnant with you. I was so sick early on every morning before school yucky! I craved pickles, ate skor bars, chomped on ice and chewed gum (like a cigarette smoker) when the doc said lay off the sweets. They were worried about there being too much fluid and nervous I might go into pre-term labor. They also told me there could possibly be something wrong with your esophagus. But they wouldn't know until you were born. If it was a problem then you were going to have to have open chest surgery immediately because you wouldn't be able to eat.

Throughout the entire pregnancy I felt very peaceful, and excited for you to join our family. I wasn't sure everything was going to be exactly as I wanted it but I felt confident it would be okay. We all loved you so much even before you arrived. Addie would constantly want to hug my belly show my bare belly to everyone.

Now that you are here we all love you so much. You are the nicest baby. However, you were so big it was not so nice getting you into this world. Things I don't want to forget: balloon catheter yikes, my bottom feeling like it was going to explode. Pushing for three hours, and not feeling like I'd made any progress. Sweet nurse and anaesthesiologist. It took forever went in to be induced at 6 am on the first had you at 1:58 am on the second.

We are so glad you are here. Addie loves to give you kisses and hugs. She calls you her cuddle bug. I love to watch you. You have been such a sweet baby. Very mellow, but you get really upset when you're ready to eat sometimes you snort if we don't hurry fast enough. You seem so calm, little and fragile.
