Grandma you will be missed

 Grandma Marchant & Addie
 Grandma Marchant
Grandma & Adeline
I always loved her house at Christmas ... her tree always looked so beautiful
My grandma at our wedding. I love her spunky personality.
You can totally see it in this photo with the shaking of the finger.
My mom Carol and Grandma Marchant

My mom, My sister Caden and I the day of the funeral

this tree is at the cemetery - i love this tree it is so unique

The flowers looked lovely

I am not really sure what photos are appropriate to post of funerals (please forgive me if any of these are tacky). My grandma is one of my heros. I spoke at her funeral, and I love her dearly. I will miss her so very much. A trip to Utah will not be the same. She has always been a light. I adore her, and am glad I have been taught by her example that this life is not the end. In moments like this my belief in the plan of salvation, and knowledge that our families can be together forever brings comfort when things seem unbearable. I know all to well the feeling of grief when you can hardly catch your breath, and I've learned a lot about grief this last year, and thought this poem kind of sums it all up.

Grief
You don't get over it
You just get through it
You don't get by it
Because you can't get around it
... It doesn't just "get better"
It just gets different
Every day...
Grief puts on a new face.

a few more birthday bits

 Addie's friend party
We had a little casual get together at the pool. She loved having all of her friends together.

 All of her buddies
Adeline wearing her special birthday crown.
She got to bring snack & a birthday treat (cupcakes)
She had her turn to share: she wanted to share her picnic basket grammy gave her for her birthday. She was so cute she passed a piece out to everyone. After they'd played with it for a bit she would switch pieces. Then when Miss Sue said time was up she gathered everything together.
When they sing happy birthday Miss Sue makes a big fuss over the kids.
They get to choose 3 birthday hugs or 3 birthday spankings. Hilarious you can see what she chose.

Family Birthday Party

 The Cake
 The Cupcakes

She loves these two water accessories
Aunt Keri the work horse as usual!

Aunt Wauldina & Ethan (he would cry when Tim and Scott were wrestling)
Lily (not so sure about the pool party at first)
Showing off the goods

 Jacob & Parker
 Tanner
 Tyler & the great Grandparents
Her beautiful new jewelry

Today we celebrated Adeline's 3rd birthday with family, and close friends. She was so excited to have everyone together. She had been begging to eat a cupcake all morning, and sneaking frosting when I wasn't watching. She loved her cake (thanks Ashley). Then she would tell me the frosting is so yummy it tastes like blueberries. The kids went swimming, and had a great time. It was so fun to have everyone together.

Oh how she's Grown

This Year

Last Year

Butterfly's are a tradition now ... for school clothes. On the second day at school she had the best time singing. My favorite is she comes home singing. They sing the words in the Eric Carle book Brown Bear Brown Bear what do you See. Addie loves sining the words, and LOUD. Her favorite things to do are dress up during preschool, and she loved catching a ride on the back of her friends trike. She's getting so big. I can't believe it. Her little face looks all grown up to me.

The Bounce House

Riley (her friend) Adeline

They had the best time bouncing around. These were taken at Riley's birthday party. Such a fun party. She would laugh and laugh. Then tell me mom watch me I'm going to jump on five colors. Then she'd proceed to jump on each of the color strips.
