My grandma at our wedding. I love her spunky personality. You can totally see it in this photo with the shaking of the finger. |

The flowers looked lovely
I am not really sure what photos are appropriate to post of funerals (please forgive me if any of these are tacky). My grandma is one of my heros. I spoke at her funeral, and I love her dearly. I will miss her so very much. A trip to Utah will not be the same. She has always been a light. I adore her, and am glad I have been taught by her example that this life is not the end. In moments like this my belief in the plan of salvation, and knowledge that our families can be together forever brings comfort when things seem unbearable. I know all to well the feeling of grief when you can hardly catch your breath, and I've learned a lot about grief this last year, and thought this poem kind of sums it all up.
Grief
You don't get over it
You just get through it
You don't get by it
Because you can't get around it
... It doesn't just "get better"
It just gets different
Every day...
Grief puts on a new face.
You don't get over it
You just get through it
You don't get by it
Because you can't get around it
... It doesn't just "get better"
It just gets different
Every day...
Grief puts on a new face.
