I know nursing is suppose to be best...THE VERY BEST that's why I worked so hard we worked so hard to figure it out. But get this I have to give Adeline a multi vitamin
polyvisol. What is that all about? Nursing didn't come easy for me, but we were persistent and the final success is here. She is nursing great, and daily takes a mutli vitamin. I just find it amusing.

Maesy is on one too becuase she is tiny. On the other hand my sisters little girl was a chunk and her dr put her on a multi vitamin so sometimes it is just the dr and not the child. I wish you were coming to utah so I could see her, maybe in the summer?
Nursing was way hard for me...with BOTH boys. I had all sort of problems with James (infection, cracks, it was NOT fun). Drew was a bit better, but it seemed like I just couldn't get the hang of it - like positioning and all. I just plain ran out of milk with both of them around 4 months and I had to supplement all through it because they were starving (and super fat) and I wasn't making enough. Anyway, you just do your best! I lasted 6 months with James and 4 with Drew. I used to feel guilty about it, but there was nothing I could do and finally got over it. Wish we could see you and cute Adeline over Christmas. Next year!
I was also going to say Good Job for sticking with it! :)
I agree with Abbie, it really does not come as naturally as it is supposed to, and some kids do better than others. Just do your best. I am glad that you have stuck it out cause although she needs a vitamin it really is better. For me it just got easier and then in comparison to having to pack a bottle and formula around, nursing was way more convenient and didn't break the bank. I had to stop at 8.5 months for the boys because I couldn't get them to stop biting and it really was more of a pain having to pack everything if I went anywhere.
I am so happy that is worked out for you two. It takes awhile but way to stick with it. I bet it is a Dr. thing about the vitamin. My kids weren't nursed and didn't take vitamins.
